Unique Nearfield Monitoring

Ideal for professional mixing and mastering, the Focal Shape Twin combines premium components with Focal’s extensive expertise. Its unique design includes two passive radiators, flax cone woofers, and an aluminium/magnesium inverted dome tweeter. The M-shaped tweeter’s very low directivity simplifies finding the optimal listening position. The double passive radiators allow placement near walls without unwanted vibrations, and the monitor can handle high sound pressure levels, ensuring clarity and power in your audio work.

Exceptional Audio Fidelity and Performance

With premium components and a wide frequency response, the Shape Twin delivers exceptional audio fidelity, capturing every nuance of your source audio. The flax sandwich cone ensures powerful, well-defined bass and natural-sounding mid-ranges, resulting in accurate stereo imaging. Unique features like the Neutral Inductance Circuit (NIC) technology control the magnetic field to prevent distortion, and the Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) provides a linear frequency response between 1 and 2kHz, reducing distortion for optimal neutrality.

The sleek enclosure, made of MDF with a natural walnut veneer, is designed for optimal acoustic performance. The monitor is powered by three Class AB amplifiers, delivering high sound pressure levels for various applications.

The rear control panel includes adjustments for bass and treble response, an adjustable crossover at 160Hz, and a releasable high-pass filter for mixing. The Focal Shape Twin also features both XLR and RCA inputs, allowing compatibility with a wide range of audio equipment, including interfaces.
