FULL DESCRIPTION

Returning to the timeless sounds of the past, the Moog Grandmother epitomizes the essence of Moog's modular heritage with its versatile semi-modular analog synthesizer design.

Featuring an array of classic elements such as a built-in sequencer, arpeggiator, and a spring reverb tank, the Grandmother Synthesizer evokes the nostalgia of vintage synths while offering modern functionality. Its 32-note velocity-sensitive Fatar keybed, accompanied by mod and pitch wheels, and vintage-style octave-switching buttons, provide a familiar yet expressive playing experience.

The Grandmother's retro aesthetic is showcased through its multi-colored modular panel adorned with vintage potentiometers, reminiscent of the iconic synthesizers of the past. Its analog circuitry and comprehensive controls empower musicians to craft anything from retro soundscapes to cutting-edge lead tones.

Revisiting its modular roots, the Moog Grandmother draws inspiration from classic Moog synthesizers of the 70s and 80s. Its fully analog circuitry captures the warmth and character of vintage synths, offering a rich sonic palette with unparalleled power. The incorporation of modules such as oscillators from the Minimoog and the mixer from the CP3, along with a Spring Reverb Tank inspired by the Moog 905, delivers a distinctive and versatile synthesizer experience.

With a semi-modular design featuring numerous patch points, the Grandmother encourages hands-on exploration of sound design. While patching is optional, it unlocks the synth's full potential, allowing users to override internal connections and utilize the synthesizer as an analog audio processor for external sources.

The built-in arpeggiator and sequencer provide intuitive tools for creating dynamic rhythms and melodic patterns. The sequencer offers 256-note capacity across three sequence locations, with flexible programming options for note entry, rests, ties, and accents. Meanwhile, the arpeggiator enables the creation of intricate melodic sequences and rhythmic motifs, with customizable playback directions.

The integration of a spring reverb tank adds a distinctive sonic character, reminiscent of vintage synthesizers. Paired with premium-grade filters, including a classic Moog Low Pass Ladder Filter and a 1-pole high-pass filter, the Grandmother offers precise control over tone shaping.

Styled with a retro-inspired design, complete with rotary controls and a classic analog ADSR envelope generator, the Grandmother exudes vintage charm. Its multi-colored scheme not only pays homage to original modules but also aids in visual organization of its various sections.

Equipped with comprehensive connectivity options, including DIN MIDI In/Out/Thru and USB MIDI, the Moog Grandmother seamlessly integrates into studio setups and modular environments. With 41 patch points in total, as well as an external audio input and a patchable bipolar attenuator, the Grandmother offers unparalleled versatility and flexibility for musical exploration.
